The World is a Big Puzzle
The world is a big puzzle
And we're all a piece of it
Different foods, different cultures
And different people, too.
Piece by piece, we fit together
Through friends and family
We're all somehow connected
By love, land and sea

Livin' on Washington time, livin' on Washington time,
We've got the country's largest floating bridge
I saw Bill Gates on Hurricane Ridge
It rains so much like a baby crying
It's not too hot in the summertime
Livin' on Washington time, livin' on Washington time

We've got the country's largest floating bridge
I saw Bill Gates on Hurricane Ridge
It rains so much like a baby crying
It's not too hot in the summertime

Livin' on Kirkland Time Click Here to Listen
Livin’ on Kirkland time, Livin’ on Kirkland time
Three minutes late is normal
Our outfits are informal
Lake Washington is huge and great
The wind pushes the chime
Livin’ on Kirkland time, Livin’ on Kirkland time
Livin’ on Kirkland time, Livin’ on Kirkland time
It snows every few years
Slip and slide until it clears
If you’re hungry for some tasty food
Chan’s place is so fine
Livin’ on Kirkland time, Livin’ on Kirkland time
Kirkland is the place to be
Lots of stores for you and me
There’s even a candy cane factory
Kirkland is an excellent city!

All Connected in a Way Click Here to Listen
From the Jungles of Vietnam
To the beaches of Mexico
From the big lakes of Poland
To the castles of Britain
From Mt. Baker in Washington
To the deserts of Arizona
All cool places, and here come some more
There’s a crashed boat in Oregon
Lots of space in Walla Walla
Tide pools in Canada
Tangerine trees in California
Nobody’s seen ‘em all, but we’ve all seen some of ‘em
We’re all from different places but we’re all here now
That makes us all connected in a way

I’m Making New Friends Click Here to Listen
I’m the only person I know from my country
And it’s lonely some of the time
But I get to learn a brand new language
And teach other people mine
I’m making new friends
And I like my new place
Sometimes I miss my old home
And my family too
But it’s still great to be here
I’ll keep up my pace
Of meeting new people, especially you
If you were the only person from your country
I would help you get used to this place
I’d take you to Juanita and we’d hang out at the beach
I’d know I was successful when I saw your smiling face

We are From All Over the World Click Here to Listen
We are from all over the world
And we’re proud of it
We eat different foods and like different stuff
Because we’re together, that’s just enough
We’re all equal, ‘cause we’re all people
And we are great at so many things
Some like writing, some like numbers
Some like reading Lord of the Rings
If we were all exactly the same
Life would be boring, and we’d be snoring
We need to be different to stay awake
You might like pie, but I like cake
Mrs. Kassel-Day’s 2nd Grade Class
It’s a Great Place, AG Bell Click Here to Listen
It’s a great place, AG Bell
You could even say it’s swell!
It’s a safe place for all
You learn a lot from friends at school
Different languages and games
Different skin colors and cool names
Shoes and clothing are not all lame
But on the inside, we’re all the same
Some like homework, some do not
But we all like recess, no matter what
We like to show new people around
A better place can not be found

A Girl Went to a Park Click Here to Listen
A girl went to a park, in another country
And she didn’t see a slide.
There were no swings, there were no monkey bars
And there were no bikes to ride.
What? Oh Man!! This is just grass!
This isn’t a park, I think I’ll just pass!
Then she saw a game, they called it football
Even though it looked like soccer
Somebody asked her, do you want to play?
She kicked the ball and the goalie blocked her.

There are Beaches All Over the World Click Here to Listen
There are beaches all over the world.
Kids everywhere are playing in the sand
Eating ice cream and even scuba diving
There are beaches all over the world.
There are sports all over the world.
Kids everywhere are playing football
and volleyball, and racing, and pole vaulting
There are sports all over the world.
There are books all over the world.
Kids everywhere are reading different writing
about different countries in different languages
There are books all over the world.
There are people all over the world.

We're All Part of the Earth Click Here to Listen
In Ukraine, there is a dog who always barks
In Tehran, we read from right to left
In Boston, there is a cave that's really dark
In Kirkland, we work so hard and then we rest
There are so many countries around the world
And we can't visit them all the time
Almost all of us come from a different one
But we're all part of the Earth
In Pittsburgh, it can get really hot
In Vietnam, there is a big army
In Mexico, we plant seeds a lot
In Atlanta, Dr. King talked about Harmony
There are so many countries around the world
And we can't visit them all the time
Almost all of us come from a different one
But we're all part of the Earth

Most of us Have Hands Click Here to Listen
Most of us have hands
We can stand on them
and eat with them
and play music with them
and talk with them
and snap with them
and clap with them
and make things with them
and take things with them
and bake with them
and pet a snake with them
and ride bikes with them
and read books with them
and open doors with them
and break pinatas with them
and play the rainstick with them
and write songs with them
and make boats with them
and play computers with them
and play sports with them
Yes, most of us have hands
YEAH!
