Ebenezer's Posse Works at Northwest Harvest

Mahalia, Melanie, and Ebenezer went to Northwest Harvest and packaged two liter bottles of Ginger Ale today. We put them in boxes to be shipped all around the state and given to people and families who need food. We found out from Bill at NW Harvest that not all people who go to a food bank or soup kitchen are homeless. Sometimes, they have just enough money to pay their bills, and nothing left over to buy food.

We had a great time at NW Harvest, and will be returning someday soon to help out again.

Here are the lyrics to the song we wrote about our day:

We packed 672 bottles helping 672 families
To have something to drink
We didn't dawdle when we packed the bottles
We did a good job, I think

Oh Please can the people on Earth be lucky
Lucky enough to not be hungry
So we can help each other
Understand one another

I think we're really lucky
Because we have somewhere to go home
To play and sleep and eat
It would be pretty yucky
If we were so unlucky
To have to choose between food or heat

Oh Please can the people on Earth be lucky
Lucky enough to not be hungry
So we can help each other
Understand one another
